Intentional underinvestment combined with growing pressure from the U.S. to separate from China will mean that inevitably the running of our power supply will eventually be in the hands of U.S. LNG exports. The same way they seperated Europe from nordstream access.

It's a little bit too big a subject to fully go into on socmedia (also I'm on holiday) but our access to LNG will be completely at the whim of the U.S. being the largest supplier and through financial control of the dollar. This wouldn't matter if our energy infrastructure was stable but years of

Please please understand that the LNG plant was not a foolish mistake by National. They have been correctly informed that they will not win the coming election so the LNG facilities are their paymasters back door into our democracy. It's a strategic calculation not a blunder.
