That’s not to say I want Slot out. I’m hopeful this is just a bad spell and he’ll sort it. But if he doesn’t, I like those two because they seem to have a very clear way of playing and their players have fully bought into it. Whether their style is right for us, I don’t know. Iraola maybe more so

So, I’m really torn. Perhaps once we’ve won again, things might settle down a bit. Confidence does funny things. But I really thought that Slot would have a clear idea how to play with these new signings, yet it doesn’t look like it so far. In terms of replacements, I like Glasner & Iraola.

Not seen it, but some contention over CP opening goal, Gala pen never a pen and play should have stopped yesterday before Mbeumo scored. So it doesn’t help when we’re already not playing well to deal with these issues. And let’s be honest, with the chances we had yesterday, we should have won.

It’s surprising really because last season he impressed me with his ability to solve problems within games. It appears to have gone now, but I’m still hopeful he’ll work it out. We’ve been terrible defensively, but we’ve also been unlucky with the nature of goals conceded.

Agreed, but perhaps it could be sung at the end of the game? Obviously, it’s sung on 20 minutes because of his number, but I’m not sure when the players are trying to maintain their focus on the game it helps to be reminded of Diogo.

I also think he’d benefit from the right backs overlapping him, not underlapping as Bradley always seems to do. I’d rather Mo closer to goal that the rb.

Carnival last night here... 100th anniversary so very many in town waking to an even worse hangover than usual.

Usual madness dialled up to 11 - it was excellent - was dancing in the square to an excellent live funk and soul band until midnight.

You’re probably right, but he’s better than Sesko. I do think there’s a player in there and he could work well with their existing attackers. It feels like we need movement fast, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it becomes a frenetic deadline day…
