New here. I am researcher in 🇫🇷. I develop behavior change interventions to cope with heat, indoor air pollution and examine the associated mental health benefits.
Also, I try to identify structural/individual factors associated with a better climate resilience of urban cyclists.⤵️

Husband bought me a new brand of granola and for some reason it's asking me for a $3500 publication fee.

“Information alone does not change behaviour.”

Jorgen Randers, member of The Club of Rome and co-author of #TheLimitsToGrowth reflects on 50 years of work, from MIT to @earth4all.life and what it takes to move from awareness to action.

Participants highlighted the dramatic consequences of overheating on sleep : “I take sleeping tablet now because I wake up twice and can’t get back to sleep. So it ruins my day, day-to-day activities, like if I got appointments I can’t, I could have cancelled them because I haven’t had a good sleep”
We need more studies like that !

Indoor measures of heat... combined with pre/post summer interviews

It gives a clear vision of the daily issues for people living in social housing (New-Zealand)

- Active cooling: Useful but financially and practically constrained

Last night I watched over 100 pelicans feed just off the coast after sunset. Here's one of them. 17 frames taken from a sequence of 44 over 2.5 seconds. Incredible dinosaurs!!! 🪶

Nature Communications will publish ~10K papers in 2025 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov?term=%22Natu...

That's ~$70M in revenue, while many of the non-profit journals that used to occupy that slot in the journal hierarchy have seen a precipitous decline in submissions in the 15 years it's existed.

We built the openESM database:
▶️60 openly available experience sampling datasets (16K+ participants, 740K+ obs.) in one place
▶️Harmonized (meta-)data, fully open-source software
▶️Filter & search all data, simply download via R/Python

It will be helpful. For instance, it may be interesting to bridge self-reported EMA data with urban data (e.g., walkability, NDVI) or rain....
I explore the datasets
Thank you for this amazing work.
I am wondering why date and cities are not included. It's an ethical issue ? Risk of identifiacation maybe.
