People who don’t believe there is such a thing as societal decline also have to answer why every day you go to the supermarket and more and more perfectly edible and enjoyable cheese is being ruined with pointless bits of dried fruit inside it.

After the latest crowing letter from the BMA I’ve had enough
I’ve quit
Whilst I have sympathy for recruitment and wage issues (some of which directly affect me) this needs to be balanced with the impact on emergency care in particular

Not only did Brexit not provide any extra money for the NHS - as liar-in-chief Boris Johnson promised - but Brexit is impoverishing the UK each year by an amount of money not far off the annual NHS budget.

Thanks Farage.

Friendly reminder that chasing the lactate with fluid boluses in a patient with mesenteric ischemia or severe C. Diff colitis will only lead to massive fluid overload. If the patient survives the intra-abdominal catastrophe, she will spend at least a few days intubated in the ICU

I for one am shocked, SHOCKED I tell thee, that removing all the qualitative information about a sick patient and boiling it down to single number, coupled with “the NEWS isn’t getting smaller ” didn’t predict who ends up in intensive care. WHO KNEW?

I have a joke about the Oracle at Delphi, but even I don’t understand it.
I have a joke about Tantalus... But the punchline is just out of reach

New GMC guidance is unhelpful, when what doctors and patients need is clarity on what PAs are allowed to do and what they're not.

We're calling for a clear and nationally enforced safe scope of practice for PAs & AAs.
