Cancel. Genuinely. Cancel. A rejection at the border is a permanent mark against entry, forever.

If you insist, follow dangerous territory protocols: know your embassy details, make sure someone knows your travel details, and have funds for emergency legal, health, and departure expenditures.

As @alexandraerin.com said, if you're in the crowd it's not gallows humor, it's just part of the execution.
A reminder that gallows humour is for those with their necks in the noose to make, not us watching trying to be smugly dark and edgy.

Got a friend asking for some accessibility focused reading, and it's been a minute since I started learning the topic.

Do you have a go to text to introduce the topic in 2026?

Please share!

This is always the plan — they know the slop is slop so they will hire the original humans back at a cut rate to be slop wranglers, which involves more work and worse outcomes.
If they want to keep getting work, they can review (=rewrite) the AI slop, for 1/3 of their normal rate (which was already low to begin with)

Readers, we HAVE to complain about it, hold the publishers accountable and boycott these books

You know, the best part of Cyber Monday is unsubscribing from all of the online vendors you’re unlikely to ever use again.

We gotta find some way to go back to a time when we didn't feel compelled to give our take on everything, because now we have a constitutional lawyer weighing in on the attack on a trans college instructor to say that giving a student a 0 for not following directions violates the First Amendment

Also prompts the question: Would replacing the C Suite and the upper management doing that 57% with LLM driven chat bots actually cause any harm? And would the harm it causes be cheaper than the salaries?
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

I just read an interview with the narrative lead of a video game claiming that making games is harder than movies because they don't have one person calling all the shots and need to collaborate with a team of 400.

My respect for this company drops every day.

OK, new AllPlay version of The Networks gets the official designer thumbs-up. Jeff Fraser made these tweaks while I was down for the count, and he did a masterful job sanding down the game's rougher edges.

Refs watching a replay where a player is shoved with both hands into the boards and needs to leave the gave to have no penalty is certainly a choice. #woho #SeattleTorrent

As an OG Riveters fan, it is legit hard for me to root for Hilary Knight, lol.

I do not have this issue with Corinne Shroeder, because goalies are always to be respected, even if they were on a Boston team.

"Framing it just like this makes me want Israel to annex it" uh

a) You have ZERO stake in the harms or impacts here, bb
b) you'd want an aggressive colonialism done out of spite?
c) all those violations of human rights and international law don't bother you? Guess not, lovely
d) oh just fuck you

Rabbi here.

The West Bank is absolutely occupied, in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, reaffirmed from the Fourth Hague Convention of 1907, Article 42.

It would be helpful if people who didn't know what they were talking about didn't open their uninformed mouths.

Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

Thinking about the social stigma against eating fast food in a country where poor people are being starved by the govt, the cost of groceries and fresh vegetables are astronomical, and a cheeseburger at McDonald’s costs $3.50.

“Clean” and “healthy” eating rhetoric is racist, ableist, and classist.

Bluesky: we are a serious social network.

Also bluesky: sometimes the app just stops accepting touch inputs. Don't worry about it.
