So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

40 men Trump sent to CECOT tell the NYT they were beaten, tortured, and sexually assaulted. The details are worse than you can imagine.

We can’t let them get away with this. Miller and the other architects of this sadism need to go to prison.

Housing being less affordable is a big freaking deal. Less so than housing but also a really big deal is the higher cost of college. Dismissing that is just bizarre.
How are shutdowns still a thing we do? It’s so asinine. No budget passed? Spending should continue at current levels. That’s how less ridiculous national governments handle it.

A majority of the days the government has ever been shut down, Donald Trump was president. www.howtoreadthisch.art/red-versus-b...
However Congress can kill funding via rescissions with a simple majority vote.
Yes, other than tax cuts, the GOP mostly opposes major legislation. When their governing philosophy amounts to “government doesn’t work so elect us and we’ll prove it!”, that’s hardly a surprise.

I guess it makes it harder for the GOP to repeal major legislation. That’s the only upside.
Land doesn’t and shouldn’t vote! Why is Amy Walter opposed to democracy?
As Teddy says, they already get outsized influence by having two senators, same as much more populated states. They also get to have their presidential votes count for more thanks to the structure of the EC. A vote in Wyoming counts over three times what a vote in California does. How is that okay?
SCOTUS has given the Trump admin plenty of reason to think they’ll rush to their emergency docket and do what Trump wants, and what Trump wants is tens of millions of hungry Americans.
What kind of person thinks someone jiggling your front door knob (they were using a key at the wrong house) is justification to open fire through the door? It’s insane that there’s any question about arresting the shooter. This is murder.
That will make it close to two months since the House was in session. Johnson is really working hard to avoid a vote on the Epstein files.
Speaker Johnson is officially keeping the House in recess again next week. This will be the eighth consecutive week the House has been out of session. The chamber hasn't met since Sept. 19. Adelita Grijalva, who was elected on Sept. 23, has not been sworn in.
And how completely horrible must the parents who sued be? They sued so their kids can keep bullying the trans kids.
Schools can obviously have rules to prohibit bullying. But suddenly if it’s bullying by deliberate misgendering, free speech is more important than protecting kids from bullying. What a stupid ruling.
Senate Republicans: murdering people for alleged crimes is fine. No, we don’t need to see any evidence.
If you eat healthy foods like lard and tallow, your body will fight off that rabies virus!

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

I’ve secured commitments over eleventy bazillion dollars.
Trump: "I've secured commitments over $18 trillion. We're gonna have $21 trillion in one year." (Trump's fake numbers get bigger even within a single statement!)
Interesting observation. Given that his average approval has barely budged since April or May, that’s the first real shred of hope I’ve seen that he’s slowly losing some support.
That was Aug 13th. The same protestor, Daryn Herzberg II, came back and was again assaulted on Aug 16th. He said he got a concussion from the second assault. More info here:
