You’d think he’d be able to come up with a couple of way more obvious candidates for contemporary antichrist….

It is indeed a wild read, and queasy-making

This is a wild read. It's remarkable how much Peter Thiel thinks he knows that is just ignorant and poorly thought out. It's also pretty clear these people have never deeply read a book by Tolkien (or anybody else). Most confusing for people of this wealth, can't they find editors?

Wow, that is a truckload of verbal and philosophical diarrhea…

Excellent interview from yesterday, with the Rutgers prof who has received multiple death-threats from the fascist enablers of turning point.

Thanks for that lucid interview, and I’m glad you and your family made it out! I hate that you had to had to, though.

Miller has been showing us who he is since 2016. He first came on my radar - on Canadian tv - when trump was picking his team first time around, and he openly said chilling out & out fascist things back then.

There was some idiot at their anti-NTFA round table this aft, saying the dangerous terrorist org anTEEfa dates back nearly a century…to Weimar Germany. (Posobiec, I think it was.)

I had never heard of Eswatini until now: apparently the former Swaziland, and Africa’s last absolute monarchy.

Last weekend, the Trump administration sent 10 more people to an Eswatini prison, joining five other ICE detainees sent there in July.

None of the 15 men sent to the nation are from Eswatini. But they are now under the authority of its king.

As always with these idiots, it’s hard to tell what’s stoopid and what’s evil, but safe to say it’s dangerous amounts of both.

Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

That first clip is incredibly strange, it really looks like someone (Vought?) yelled in his earpiece. It’s deeply unsettling that they edited it out for the re-run version.

Sandinista! is one of only a handful of albums I have on both cd and lp, I must confess I tend to put on the cd out of conveniences (it’s only 2 CDs, 3 sides per)

Now that’s a deep cut! Side 6 was always definitely for after the drugs kicked in.

Fair enough, we must stick to the high road and all that. However, with instances like this and the Mississippi hanging, it’s not surprising that people would react that way. As someone once said, “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get you….”

Mr R would’ve been in his 80s already, had just lost one son to addiction and his other was in the grips of it, so understandable that he’d want to call it a day.

Russell’s, along with everything else on that block, was expropriated by the QC govt in 1999, for the Palais de Congrès expansion. Central Stamp, my workplace, took a deal that paid moving expenses; whereas Mr Russell took the buy-out deal, that was the other option offered.
patrickndg.bsky.social
I somehow missed that one, phew! I’m a sucker for those editions and their woodcuts, though, and I spent a decade where I didn’t even have to step outside to visit Russell’s Books.

FFOL!! That is one unhinged individual, absolutely barking.

Yeah, ‘twas Burroughs! There was a UK rock band in the mid ‘70s called The Heavy Metal Kids, who got their name from the naked lunch monitor (much as Steely Dan named themselves after his steam-powered dildo.)

Sadly true, assholes large & small have been empowered the world over, and integrity devalued.
