Reform desperate to equalise the labour and green vote. They know labour is ahead of the greens in spite of the hype. Labour candidate is local hard working councillor. Means a lot. I also think large bets have been laid to tweak the odds so greens look like the tactical vote when they aren't.
Matt Goodwin of Reform wants a head to head debate with the Greens, suggesting a Green-friendly host like Novara.

Why?

Normally an underdog/challenger tactic, not a frontrunner move

And/or Goodwin wants to boost Greens - and frame as Reform v Greens, more than Reform v Labour

Reform appears to have a freephone number.
It would be really wrong to abuse this or keep them on the line for absolutely ages.....or ask for more "literature" which costs them to send....

This. Disappointed lefties (like myself) please don't give Farage a leg up just because you want to express your disappointment. The labour candidate, selected from a strong list by local members, will make a better constituency MP than Burnham would have. If she gets the chance.
Re Gorton & Denton, I once again note how subdued the formerly vocal "We must vote for the candidate best placed to defeat Reform" voices are, while "Voting Green could give Labour a kicking and who really cares if Reform wins as a result it's just a by-election" seems to be their unspoken reality.

Farage lied when he said he was too ill to appear for the BBC interview on Sunday.
The Heartland Institute, whose party he attended instead, doesn't believe in tobacco harms, climate change and seeks the dismantling of the NHS.

There clearly is a problem, and maybe it is too urgent to wait to see the results of the experiment in Australia. But here's an alternative: should we make it illegal for adults to use a smartphone within sight of a minor? If children didn't see us doom scrolling maybe they wouldn't want to copy us?
The average 12-year-old now spends 29 hours a week on a smartphone.

So I decided last week to add my name to a letter to the Prime Minister along with 60 other Labour colleagues.

We've requested urgent action to raise the minimum age for social media platforms to 16 years old.

I'm pleased to welcome Andrew Rosindell to Reform. With any luck most people will have forgotten he was a Tory MP, because he didn't come into Parliament for nearly two years while he was being investigated for sexual assault and rape.

"One of Us" was ABBA's final parting single - so we've adapted it into a 🎶 parody we're calling "Exodus" to reflect on the urinary trickle of Tory departures to Reform UK, most notably two driplets this week from the very bottom of the last government's barrel.

@alexjjnorris.bsky.social you can do better than this. Saying that is being a salesperson for Elon Musk. Lead by example, pin a post on X telling people if they want to hear what you have to say they can find you here. Of your 1000 views 90% are probably bots. This is where you will get engagement.
Minister of State Alex Norris tells the BBC he won't personally come off X because it's important for communicating with voters.

None of his tweets for the last month has more than 1000 views.
