Yes I was shocked to hear Russian voices in Barcelona in the summer
Is that to try and keep all the money in Russia with the economy in the state it’s in? I was surprised to read on here in the summer (not sure if it was you) about the rich Russians flying to Turkey then onto many European destinations. Loads of Russian tourists in Egypt too
So Andrew getting free digs at Sandringham is a nice easy ride
It’s very strange to think that many economists think at some point the triple lock has to go and there would be a lot of anger to that especially in right wing papers but to try to deliver all of that in one go and think you’d survive in government crazy
It’s great to see that but is anyone doing any research on the online radicalisation of white men over 45? As there certainly appears to be a lot of men my age who are getting quite vocal with far right views after listening to podcasts or watching YouTube videos (also tictok)
Doesn’t the telegraph think all solicitors are lefty human rights lawyers?
Pretty sure those and all NHS workers are looking at leaving but because of pay, conditions, toxic environment for immigrants and Brexit so I think the telegraph will stay quiet on that score
Arhh the telegraph following on from the damage of VAT on private schools will collapse the education system and the classic hit of “all the millionaires will leave and then you’ll be sorry” which also doesn’t happen.

Who needs a guillotine when you can tut loudly in the Home Counties
When you know you’re gonna like the comments before you’ve even clicked on them! I think what makes it even funnier is after Bakeoff did a Gala pie Bluesky was full of yanks talking like that had killed a family
Aren’t the vast majority of Reform supporters English and over 45?
I can’t see Reform winning more than a quarter of the seats in either Scottish or Welsh Assembly. Then everything they do will be judged just like the 4-5 MP’s & all the councillors who keep quitting/suspended
Yeah if you read above I was trying to stop parallels between the Falklands & Venezuela…… and yeah no thanks on the PM front most of the general public are idiots and I could never be in politics
I’ve always thought the fanatical fundamentalist right wing US Christians to be a larger threat than any other (mainly because of their links to the US government) but threats are always there and I’m ex Army and I used to the threat levels being high. Also been to the Falklands are talked to locals
Well so far Trump has lost quite a few court cases where the judge that ruled against him was appointed by him. As for the GOP with tariffs hurting and lots of the population losing healthcare, benefits and being very angry they must be thinking about removing him
I’m almost 50 and there’s been speculation over global war for pretty much all of that time (only briefly dropping after the USSR collapsed) there are lots of threats he is just one of them.
The courts, senate and congress very much have the power to stop him but they are choosing not to. At anytime all it will take is a handful of republican senators to say “fuck this” and it’s over. Yes he’s a threat but he is a rambling old man who looks one cheeseburger away from death
He really wants it to happen and he wants authoritarian regimes in all countries that allow him to do whatever he wants and not to pay taxes whilst those countries push his unhinged agendas. All U.K. political parties should be calling him out and stopping his influence
I did an experiment and it really doesn’t matter…… yet some people really want it to.
The main problem with Trump is he comes out with so much bollocks you can never really know what’s a real threat or not and he is easily distracted and moves onto the next shiny thing that catches his attention. I’m not saying he’s not a worry but I really can’t see him lasting this term either way
Well let’s be honest most of Trumps unhinged policies affect US domestic politics and the US has the power to remove him if they want to. US doing dodgy things in central/South America isn’t new or a Trump thing. The right time will be if the rest of NATO see the US as the main threat
At some point if Trump continues as he is NATO countries will have to decide what they do about the US being a member but that time isn’t now and many NATO countries are quietly building up their military and making defence deals with other countries
You really keep trying to tie things up that have no connection. The US didn’t come to the aid of Falkland islanders, the US government tried to stay neutral publicly but as a NATO member they did share some intelligence as did the French. Now we are still in NATO as is Trumps US
Well no because again it’s a separate argument. The people of the Falklands are British citizens and they see themselves are 100% British, the people of Venezuela are not.
More accurately the military Junta that was in charge at the time and had disappeared a lot of their own people. Losing that war showed the Argentinian people that the Junta wasn’t all powerful and that was their downfall
No I’m saying you are joining the dots between two very different things where there isn’t a similarity. Thatcher’s popularity was up & down for many different reasons. Some people will argue endlessly about Thatcher as PM I’m just saying the only Blame for the Falklands war is on the Argentinians
If Thatcher really was after war after the Falklands had been retaken she would have ordered attacks on Argentina but she didn’t and there was no need as the failure was enough to end the Junta’s control.
