Again, I ask, what are we going to do when ICE shows up. Sharing infographics (if even that) only does so much, because it’s not beyond me that most of the shows on the strip have almost all-white audiences, and I don’t trust white gays to do the right thing (clearly). So what are we doing?

Here’s what I’ve been requesting of venues:

- Security team briefing about ICE, required paperwork, saved contact numbers

- Head of security to be easily accessible and close to front entrance

- Additional door staff to ensure people can get in quickly and don’t have to wait in lines outside

you guys gotta prepare yourselves for real on what you will do when an ICE raid happens in front of you. remember SALUTE when reporting. REPORT IMMEDIATELY! call the hotline BEFORE you post on social media, BEFORE you text your friends, BEFORE you engage with ANY state or federal officers.

It’s also an option for businesses generally considered public spaces to designate private “staff only” areas, such as back offices or kitchens, which means 🧊 would need a judicial warrant signed by a judge to get back there, which they are unlikely to have.

HOWEVER: once a ticket, cover or wristband is required for entry, it deems the area PRIVATE, preventing ICE raids indoors. this information is directly from ICIRR. in order to get in to your PRIVATE party, they must have a warrant. ⬇️

Like 3/4 way through this book, my hold with the library lapsed. I read I’m Glad My Mom Died and Cat’s Cradle while I waited. I watched Joelie Folie unzip his pant leg to reveal the full Earthseed quote. I started a free trial to regain access to this book today so I could finish it. I’m glad I did.
