Sadly, renewing this as my pinned post.

'The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness'.

Also; 'Under capitalism, man exploits man'.

Posthumous

I wait for one lone book
A ghost beyond the grave
The writer's hand
Steers boats by skies
Listening to tales
Spoken by Norsemen
Holding a hard spirit
In the peatsmoke
Glints of stardust
Sprinkling their beards

I was experimenting with new techniques in colour pencil for this drawing, but as it has been popular on social media I am putting it up for sale at a special low price.
An A5 landscape drawing of a very pale soft toned winter rural scene with clumps of grasses in the foreground and trees in the background. The drawing is on white paper.
An original art work, please note that the frame is not included.

I still know my BFs number after 40 years, and it's still the same.

Indeed, my uncle was the camp postman. He wrote and read letters and cards for the boys who couldn't. Later, he cleared up and buried bits as part of the Pioneer Corps. He joined at 17, collecting body parts at 19.

My dad served in WW2. He said 'I felt bad for those German boys, they were just the same as us'

Husband setting up new tellybox. Shouting Judge Dredd commands at it. 'You have twenty seconds to comply'. #JudgeDredd

A new seamless repeat - Star Crinoids.

These fossils can be found worldwide, especially in areas where there is limestone and shale. And in the UK, they are sometimes called fairy coins. 🧚

Honestly this is joy. I loved Joffey and fingerbobs so much.

Indeed. My elderly neighbour has kept his phone, luckily. It's a cheapo scam to cut maintenance jobs.
peigibheag.bsky.social
Also, someone refused insurance as no phone in power cut. Eeek!

Yup, had a moan at BT last week. Phones in Outer Hebrides getting stripped out. Young chap on helpline quite surprised that there was no service in power cut.

Former Tory Minister Michael Gove says the post-Brexit Tory trade deals with Australia and New Zealand were bad for UK farmers.

Why did he/Tories Tories sign them?

Brexit hasn't yielded any economic benefits. UK gave up the best trade deals and now scavenges for whatever it can get.
Michael Gove admits that post-Brexit trade deals were bad for farmers
Michael Gove has admitted for the first time that the Australia and New Zealand trade deals negotiated by the former Tory government did not protect Britain’s farmers.

Lord, good friend took about 15 years for diagnosis. Male friend has a tiny bit of trouble peeing. Full MRI within 2 weeks. Fuck the treatment of women.

I have the cutest, scruffiest magpie on my deck for 2 years. It doesn't seem to be growing into an adult, but it's tootling about OK.
