I find the “no left on red” signage at intersections most confusing, as left on red is already illegal.

If you say your “Christmas is ruined” b/c we don’t carry the chocolate your family has had for the past 20 years, I’m guessing your Christmas wasn’t that great to begin with.

An ideal location for high density residential, as it’s so close to the LRT.

In today’s least surprising local news, speed display signs aren’t enough to make our roads safer.
Speed display signs only slow drivers down by 1km/h: Halifax report
Halifax has installed nearly 50 speed display signs around the municipality, but on average they only slow down drivers by less than one km/h, according to a new staff report.

Stopped in a no stopping zone AND parked on a raised bike lane. It's okay though, they have their "just a minute" flashers on.

I plunked “strong and free” into the anagram solver today and got,,,,wait for it… transgender (with 2 letters leftover) an F and an O.
Is Dani being super clever here or just plain mean that trans folk in Alberta ought to just eff off?
Just asking for an inclusive community-minded Albertan.

I just spent the last 3 hours walking all over downtown Edmonton through the ICE District, along MacEwan University to Wîhkwêntôwin's Brewery District. The walk was so beautiful. Being a pedestrian is quite wonderful.

This week at #YEGcc @apaquette.bsky.social made a motion for admin to come up with plan to initiate a city-wide traffic safety team.

This is currently UNFUNDED, and will be up for review in the fall 2025 supplemental budget adjustment.

Email your councilors to make this a reality. #YEGbike

Hey #yegbike!
There are a bunch of active engagements at the city that need your input. Some street labs, some about heritage and denisty, others for parks and other local improvements.

Check them out:

Holy shit the old BMO lot at 101 & 101 is for sale.

Hopefully someone snatches it up and turns it into something other than a derelict property.

Here’s the thing about these MLA recalls: it’s not just about getting the signatures.

If the petition is successful, a recall vote is held.
If the recall vote is successful by majority, the MLA ceases to hold office and a by-election would be
held.

We need people to show up THREE times. #abpoli

C0vid conscious friends:

Usually I don’t recommend getting anything for Black Friday, but Coway Canada is having a pretty damn good sale on right now. Also helpful if you have allergies!

I dropped my bike off at the shop during my lunch break and damn walking to/from is slow.

Cyclists zipping by in the bike lane certainly didn’t help that feeling.
