I’ve been playing about with creating new feeds this week.

This one should show gig pictures (as long as someone uses the word gig in their post).
Have a try and pin it if you think it might be of interest, the more feed options the better I’m finding.

I was a fan of the Age of Chance version

I once came back to my student flat after a night out, so early hours in the morning, not wanting to disturb anyone I plugged in my headphones into my stereo, put the EP on and turned it up very loud, so loud that I didn’t realise that my speakers were also pumping it out. Oops! Sorry neighbours.

Day 10 of #80sTop30
21. W.O.G.S - AR Kane
Up Home! EP
1988

From the inventors of dreampop, although arguably this song is closer to a shoegaze sound. Play loud for the best effect, it’s incredible.
A little story to follow in the next post 👇

AR Kane are my 80’s pick tomorrow so I also mention them inventing dreampop.

Spotify's own self generated playlists are shite.

"Shoegaze Classics". 11 hours long. No Moose (for whom the term was invented)

"Dreampop Classics". Only 4 hours long. No AR Kane (who invented the term)

Idiots.

Yes I was also wary when they first announced it as enjoyed the normal series with real people, but this celeb cast is very good.
Yeah Alan Carr in particular is hilarious already, can’t wait for tonight’s episode.

It’s a bit like Sewing Bee & Pottery Throwdown in that they have activities and then disappear 1 by 1.
I maybe stretching the similarities there 😆
It’s really just a party game taken to extremes, however it is very entertaining.

Have you really not come across the Traitors? It’s been the big BBC hit for the last 3 years, lots of media attention.

Oh I really like Claudia, and she hams her role out so well, plus wears a lot of black 😉

Yes, the David Tennant bits were unnecessary and it really wasn’t an ITV1 show. The games themselves were well constructed, but as a whole it didn’t quite work.
I liked the premise of Destination X but felt they were more focused on the bus interactions rather than actual clues & geography.

Each month in the Central England Temperature series has warmed rapidly in the last 30 years. Here is a #dataviz showing 30 year average temperature since 1800 for each month. #climatechange #globalwarming
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Oh yes, that’s really good too
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Don’t know where you find the time 😉
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Great.
The activities can be a bit tedious at times (although may be better with the celebs), it’s more about the round table, the tower deliberations, and then the whole group discussing and second guessing everything.
Brilliant format!

And yes Genius Game didn’t work as well as it should have.
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
And I thought you’d sworn never to start an account on there? But it is a perfect place for pics.
I’ve followed but I never post anything or even like any posts (so no offence), I just pop in from time to time, mainly to catch up on family posts.
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Yes, should just get better and better once they start playing the game, and second guessing each other
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Lovely.
Frustratingly couldn’t fit any Spacemen 3 into my list.
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
🖤 coming up in my list too
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
Already had in my list, fabulous era-defining track

Ugh, I have no time for reality TV celebrities.
I’ve avoided the other countries versions. I like my trash to be British 😂

Day 9 of #80sTop30
22. Going Underground - The Jam
single
1980

Jam singles were always popular with us kids, and this is possibly their best. A singalong classic.
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
😂 no problem.
I like a bit of trashy TV from time to time, and this format really does work well.
peterlatimer6.bsky.social
That’s fine.
I find it surprisingly entertaining.
