I am attending on our pediatric ward (Army hospital things…) and I am reminded how much harder primary care pediatricians and hospitalists have it than ICU doctors. Sending a patient home is so much more fraught than sending them elsewhere in the hospital

That's why I tried to frame my comment. I just have a lot of civilians who work for me who only got partial paychecks this week and it's irksome that troops are getting trotted out like this when they haven't missed a paycheck but others have. Like I said: pay troops more (tho not me)
