"In a forest of a hundred thousand trees, no two leaves are alike. And no two journeys along the same path are alike."
- Paulo Coelho

The #sun is shining, the #trees are still mostly lush and green. It could almost be summer. But there is something about the feel and smell of the air & the energy of those who live here, which whispers of soaking up the #autumnal sun and readying for winter. 🍄‍🟫🍂🌿💚

Walking in the woods near Gloucester yesterday and popped out of the trees to this view. 💚

Wish I could say I was shocked, but here's the Labour government constraining the right to peaceful protest again...

'You can protest but only according to our rules. The rules are: you're not allowed to use any of the tactics that make protest effective.'

NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.

Love this, what a beautiful encounter.... 💚

Their needs are the same as ours.
Their stories matter too.
It’s time to stand in no mans land and remember it is common ground.

While saying they want to "preserve nature" the Conservative Party have just pledged to scrap the Climate Change Act.

This makes no sense.

How do more floods, more droughts, and rising temperatures "preserve" nature?

That's what scrapping the Act will lead to.

"I like to envision the whole world as a jigsaw puzzle. If you look at the whole picture, it is overwhelming and terrifying, but if you work on your little part of the jigsaw and know that people all over the world are working on their little bits, that's what will give you hope."
Dr Jane Goodall

Photo is of one of my favourite quotes, which my friend made me into this beautiful picture, which is on the wall in my office.

Sad, to hear of Jane Goodall's death. & so grateful she was with us. It feels like many of the wise elders are leaving just now. Makes me feel it is time for more of us to step up. Not to replace them, they are irreplaceable, but to bring who we are to the world with the same unshakable faith. 💚🌿

Been at Allestree Park in #Derby today. Britain's largest urban rewilding project. Exploring a new corner of the park, ready to work with a client there. It's hard not to love where I work.

Under my favourite #Beech #trees. The #colours are starting to turn & the first #leaves are gently falling. A branch has been ripped down in the recent gales.
I notice that sometimes things leave us at as life turns & sometimes storms rip part of us away, when we are not expecting it.

There was mist in the valley today, but the sun soon burnt it off. Leaving the spider webs bejeweled & standing out in the morning light.
I always think there is something magical about their webs, so delicate & yet so strong & careful designed.

Sanderlings scurry into today’s #AutumnArrivalSpotlight. 🥰

These small, plump waders from the Arctic are a familiar sight on the UK’s sandy shores, darting along the waves in search of food.

A stunning high pitch this evening on the Howgill Fells. There is barely a breeze and the temperature is dropping, possibly a frost by dawn.
