I feel this is one of those concepts that so perfectly straddles the line between "weird genius / weirdly unsettling"
While I'm no traditionalist in any sense, I'm not sure I'm ready for such breakfast innovation!

4) DALLINGTON CHURCH
Northamptonshire, 1907. Two girls out for a walk enter the church. Inside, they are terrified to see the place full of kneeling people who seemed "to be made of a substance similar to bubbles". No explanation has ever been offered, and the apparition never reoccurred

It's #HALLOWEIRD season!

'When Hell Laughed' was written by Christine Campbell Thomson (1897 - 1985) under her pseudonym Flavia Richardson. She also edited the NOT AT NIGHT series.
M.R. James was *not* a fan of them (see 4th picture).

BREAKING: Our client Mario Guevara, an Emmy-winning journalist detained by ICE in retaliation for livestreaming law enforcement activity, will be deported tomorrow to El Salvador.

Mario and his family are being punished for his reporting. This cruelty is meant to stifle our free press.

I can't recall where I read it, but there was a cottage up on Keal Hill (nr Old Bolingbroke) that regularly used to lose china and crockery off shelves due to the whole building rumbling with returning bombers 'just' making it height-wise to the elevated land their base was sited on.

NEW: Something remarkable happened recently and hardly anyone noticed – GB electricity demand was 100% covered by clean power

We took a look at the data and this has happened for a record 87 hours in 2025 to date, twice as often as ever before

Given the number of Bomber crashes in the county (especially as the Bombing Campaign really got going late war) I'm surprised there were not a lot more civilian casualties!

Thanks David, confirmation it's not just me is reassuring.

I keep getting (somewhat ironically) a 'Bad Gateway Error' message.

Hi, fellow Archaeology & Heritage peeps.

Is Heritage Gateway down for everyone else, or am I the only sap that can't access it right now (or indeed since some point on Friday)?

One of the most enviable thing about cats, is their absolute assured sense that there is no situation that won't be 100% improved by them sitting right down in the middle of it.
