Had a really good day at Toy Fair meeting up with old colleagues, hanging out with one of my best friends, and solving work issues with the testing labs, all of whom said they'd heard great things about me and were happy to work with me. It felt awesome :D

I contracted as a paid media strategist at agencies for many years, basically auditing efficiencies for PPC clients. Throughout 24-25, they axed me because various AI tools made my job “unnecessary”. Seeing this contextualizes the “how’ve you been” text I got from a former colleague last week lol

I’ve seen comments lately on fics on AO3 from users offering to draw art and that the author should connect with them on discord. Just putting a warning out there to be vigilant about scams. There are art scams that pressure folks into commissions and either deliver AI “art” or nothing at all.

Honestly, it has to be a weird time to be a figure in pop culture due the president being Literally The Worst. Like, Elmo can say sharing is good and somebody in his X mentions will say “Elmo, you rotten son of a bitch. This goes against everything President Trump stands for.” And that’s not wrong.
