During 2024 Olympics, I was passing through Lyon's main train station, and found a group of National Police patrolling. 4 women, 3 men, 2 French Police, 1 Italian, 1 German, 1 Belgian, 1 Spanish, each in their uniform. The highest grade was a French Sergeant.

Federal workers do so much more, and are now due back pay after 40 days of shutdown. Some many never get paid, even though they were legally obliged to.
