This isn't the most important thing but I find it mildly annoying that Europeans will constantly berate Americans for not doing enough to stop Trump but I guarantee none are going to take the barest minimum step of boycotting FIFA.

Finally finished the Ken Burns American Revolution documentary. Very good. Not an expert but it seemed accurate to what I know. It did a pretty good job of not white-washing American history without totally disregarding the positives. I think the core message that America can be better rings true.

I think if ICE stops a native person that person should be able to confiscate any land owned by the ICE agent.

I see the common sentiment that we should ban AI and I don't disagree from a moral perspective, but the cat is out of the bag. It's like saying we should ban nuclear weapons.
Instead we need to develop political, media, and technical systems that are resilient to the tech.

i have agreed with stancil and i have disagreed with stancil. he has sharp elbows. but the accusation that he is a raging transphobe is not connected to reality. and the weaponization of "i'm listening to trans people" to smear someone because you disagree about fucking econ polling is disgusting
No, I do not “pick on” trans people, I have never done anything like this. And frankly, I think the willingness of some people to completely invent accusations of transphobia in the desperate search for a cudgel against ideological opponents suggests they don’t really care about transphobia

I started organizing my garage this summer and the first step was to tear it apart, and then I stopped there and now it's been worse than it originally was for at least 4 months.
