As poor as India have been in this series (again), South Africa have played like true champions. Legends in the making. Hats off, massive congratulations, and yes what a way to keep the cynics silent

Crisp bread, not crispbread, amazing work
Career one: read genetics books by Steve Jones, went UCL where he taught, stayed for PhD & postdoc 12 years
Career two: tweeting & blogging made me a platform to make a fuss about public policy
Career three: became a civil servant cos it turns out public policy is harder than it looks to pursuits

I often say that policy is rarely 'greenfield' ie deployed into territory where there is no current policy - rather it's often brownfield, building on existing governance
And yet sometimes it is exactly that, greenfield, and we have to reimagine users, impacts and systems.

I often say that policy is rarely 'greenfield' ie deployed into territory where there is no current policy - rather it's often brownfield, building on existing governance
