So thrilled, my Nashville book has arrived! You can order it here: www.bloomsbury.com/us/nashville... It's still 2025, so not too late for 50 year anniversary screenings. Need a guest speaker? "Let me be the one!"

I highly recommend watching this segment, not just because the CBS News execs and the White House didn’t want you to, but because these men were tortured and they deserved to have their voices heard.
!! Here’s a link to full video of the 60 Minutes segment that Bari Weiss killed last minute, via @jasonparis.bsky.social:

(It was uploaded to the Global TV app in Canada, seemingly by accident, and has now been taken down)

Regardless of media format, archivists and knowledge-preservers are always vital. This is what democracy looks like.

60 Minutes gets high viewer numbers, but this censored segment could easily get more viewers than it would have gotten via normal TV airing. How do you make people want to see something? Tell them they cannot. Just keep posting and reposting this thing.

Man, no one can show their true anger by just presenting statistics quite like Robert Caro.

The only image we get of Broadview appears to be a drone shot. The ICE crisis is documented in the streets, but once people are detained, images disappear, and we only see from afar. Consider the gut-wrenching drone shots of other facilities, with detainees spelling out SOS with their bodies.

So is this censored 60 Minutes segment gonna get leaked or what?
Earlier this month, after Trump blasted "60 Minutes" for interviewing Marjorie Taylor Greene, correspondents noticed a change behind the scenes. "Bari Weiss got personally involved," specifically with stories about politics, a source at the program says.

Shocked by the awful death of Rob Reiner. I spoke with him for over an hour last night. We talked about his work and his plans for the future. I always enjoyed his company. We met at his Dad's in 1975. Last thing he said to me was "See you next year.." Such a terrible end. Such a sweet man.
