Wheelchair dancer, feminist, exhausted. Love books, musical theatre. I knit, garden, read, roll my eyes at politicians, yell at ableists, avoid cold weather, back up people making the world better, etc. Trans rights are human rights. Ban cauliflower.

This is a wonderful, original take on The Little Mermaid that I feel so lucky to be dancing in.

Please consider donating to this project and sharing this post, we need more disability stories in all of the arts, but ESPECIALLY in dance.

Since Link is banned, his mutual aid Fridays have gone with him. This was one of the most altruistic things I’ve seen anyone on this site do.

In light of this, I’m gonna try to fill the gap.

Drop your mutual aid requests under this thread and I will repost them for as long as I can.

If she wasn't depressed during her pregnancy with me, I am 1000% cert my mother had postpartum depression as a result of my very premature, traumatic birth. Of course, nothing was dx-ed, but looking back with my own experience of depression - meds would have helped a lot and our relationship

Does anyone have a copy of that study that said that if we reduce all workloads to only 30%, we would be fine actually and have more than enough

Please share if you don't know

Every single time Chantal tries to educate folx about how ableism and fascism are interconnected, defensiveness abounds galore so many of you could benefit from this Pay-What-You-Can virtual Disability Justice training, featuring @talilalewis.bsky.social: www.healthjusticecommons.org/fall-politic...

Like these monstrous hypocrites give a flying fuck about the well-being of `a young, pregnant American citizen woman' trying to access healthcare.

1591) Lesbianbot. Is just a tiny lesbian!
A small, spherical robot with banded arms and legs and an antenna. The bobble of the antenna has a little female symbol on it, and the robot is lifting up its arms, smiling joyfully with its eyes closed.

In Discworld, cities thrive because they welcome dwarfs, trolls, vampires, and humans alike. Ankh-Morpork works because everyone belongs. Funny how fiction can seem more humane than policy sometimes.

Tabitha King: did listening to lou bega’s mambo no 5 incessantly on loop for hours help inspire you to write?
Stephen King: it sure did!
Stephen King: but why wound readers’ brain with words?!
Stephen King: when I can set their souls on fire with a slanderous mambo?!?

This doesn't require a banning, but it's a very embarrassing and ignorant opinion to post. Good books are for readers of ALL ages. And the Discworld books are EXCELLENT books.

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross. And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

Agreed!! And if all of a sudden you start getting more UTIs or UTI-like symptoms than you used to, PLEASE look into Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause and speak to a health professional about vaginal eostrogen. Age 44 to 51 have been MISERABLE for me, and VE is starting to make a difference.

I wish I could disagree with this. I haaaaaaaate stretching and exercise with the FIRE OF A THOUSAND SUNS!

But it is important (and sucks and is the WORST and o god bodies are TERRIBLE) and necessary. Ouch ouch ouch. Find some kind of movement that you can bear (me - dance/sing/swim) and DO IT.
