Given Lam's own ancestry & if enacted in the 1930s, she'd have overseen the deportation of her grandparents & the likelihood she wouldn't even exist

Can't help wondering if the logic of their craven ambitions ever gets a microsecond of scrutiny while they're busy making misery for everyone else...

Mngt & training is hard sell & it's maddening how nothing is integrated into the system from mngt consulting, even basic procurement

Strings remain in the iron grip of DoHSS, demanding mngt consulting & then claws costs back from Trusts w/o any lasting value

DoHSS is where real change is needed

The problem with such openly racist speech however, is the constant drip of hate, normalising racism in common discourse & we know where that leads

Leaving the EU is the problem; the #brexit "deal" is only one disastrous outcome

The only reason for such coyness, is the implication the govt will do the bare minimum to ease the trade pain & little else. A strategy for membership is what we & the EU need to see

From experience, a good medic & good manager combo is a very rare & highly valued talent

NHS is beset with mngt consultants & too many pointless targets. Staff have to cope with unfriendly dysfunctional information systems & change is poorly managed. It’s improving slowly but a long way to go yet

Medics do their best but with low investment managed by too many dimwits, your experience is inevitable 🤷‍♂️

NHS admin is appalling. The dearth of investment added to the lack of integrated IT thinking nevermind systems, is woeful & reluctance to shed legacy platforms is everywhere as "we've always done it this way" ..

Having just read your A&E account I'm not entirely surprised although having spent the last two years going thru the NHS mill, I couldn't praise the medics more highly. I'm glad you're ok!

Your point of being provided with info is well made but but reality is the staff don't have it either..

AI systems aren't cognitively aware despite all attempts to convince us they are or will be "very soon"

An aspect they're already stifling is innovation & assoc recognition of risk & risk management, something which created the LLM, ironically
