If you don't live in France, it's hard to really grasp how deeply islamophobic and racist its institutions still are, to this day. They're happy to let you work for them or to consume your cultural goods, but they don't like it when you're *too* arab.

I had fun recently testing minecraft mods adding artificial constraints. For eg.starting in a empty map with a single block that is randomized every 30 sec. It's been interesting to witness how I'm super engaged in the initial challenges – and notice the exact moment I loose interest, too.

I know it may seem that us Future Class folks don't seem to give Geoff any benefit of the doubt. But we have given him ample opportunities yet he consistently shows us what his priorities are: "his own bag, his rich friends, and positive press." Not supporting the industry that lets him have a show.

I think what really needs to happen re: The Game Awards is we all need to boycott it. it goes beyond Future Class; the game awards exist to push marketing at people. it's not a real award show and it's not produced by people who care about gamedevs at all. we're just props.
