this year's first bird, as per @amalelmohtar.com tradition, is a fledgling pigeon my neighbor Molly rescued from under a bridge. I will take him as a symbol of care and kindness, choosing to help small things, and to continue to wash your hands throughly to avoid all flus, human and avian.

Content moderation is also a job that is in large part outsourced overseas, and generally an entry level job that requires little to no tech expertise, and is in itself exploitative of workers that are exposed to abusive content for extremely low pay.
