Radium. Leaded gas. BPA. The list goes on, but the challenge with AI (and crypto and other technologies) is it’s harder to regulate the use of technologies that exist as ideas.
I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

So I’ve been watching the New Life SMP by @smajor.bsky.social and friends and feel like they never let that one breathe. I know they had some server issues which led to it ending soon, but I feel like the Minecraft SMP space is really lacking for a Create mod SMP. @fwhip.bsky.social was killing it
