On my dog walk I often chat with right wingers. I pretend I am an ex-Reform voter put off by the utter fuck up of our county council. Then they see me as one of their own, don't get defensive and shouty, and start to question their own opinion of Reform. Honey, not vinegar.

Look out for the hedgehogs before starting your bonfires!

@clouds75.bsky.social
⏰This is your reminder to check that bonfire thoroughly before lighting!🚨

Hedgehogs and other animals are looking to hibernate at this time of year, and a pile of logs and leaves are a very appealing place to snuggle up for winter.

As we gear up to the start of Bonfire festivities, be sure to check those wood stacks for hedgehogs. ⠀⠀

Last night: Daniel Avery at Chalk - a very mixed bag of drone music that leant heavily on Nine inch Nails and Death in Vegas, followed by the expected squelchy 303 bangers and delicious hi hat techno.

Tonight: A jazz quartet at St. Andrews in Hove. I think there's a Greek saxophonist involved.

FYI of a new scam I keep getting lately:

Someone tries to log in to your Dropbox, fails & requests a link, so you get a password reset email from legit Dropbox.

Immediately followed by a real looking follow-up from someone allegedly with Dropbox support but a @dropbox.zendesk email.

Don't click 👍

I ordered a thing from a website, then I received this e-mail:

"The delivery times at Vicedeal are longer than you are used to. In 95% of the cases you will receive the order in a maximum of 25 business days. In practice, the average shipping time turns out to be 15 business days."

JAYSUS! 😮

At work I am subjected to an unpleasant combination of Radio 1, More FM, and (s)hits radio, now that I am on my way home, I am cleansing my aural pallette with this #electro and #techno goodness, as selected by Helena Hauff.

On #BBCQT - Fiona Bruce said that the audience and public didn't want to press Reform UK on their dodgy links to Russia.

I disagree.

RT if you agree it's in the public interest for Reform to explain about their links to Russian money and bribery!

I am at the cinema with Charlotte, who wanted to see the Taylor Swift thing. I managed 7 songs (combined with some light dozing), then managed to escape to the lobby where I am thoroughly enjoying Iggy Pop playing Viagra boys and their tune 'Research chemicals', whilst I drink an agreeable Merlot.

Happy Tuesday.
These impromptu pints will stop about the time that the clocks go back and instead, I suppose at I shall have to go to the gym at this time instead *sighs*

It's sunny again this afternoon, so I am having tea (in favour of alcohol), at FIKA, near the artisan swimming pool.

The Tea is not pictured, as I had to move swiftly to capture the Volks passing by.

Why are the American president's claims about autism the first item on British news bulletins?

He's not our president, the advice doesn't apply here and he's not presented any evidence to support his assertions.

So why spread these claims? What make this the biggest story in the UK?

It's still sunny and warm, so I am having a pint of rhubarb cider.

Well it's sunny here on the south coast, so that is a good start.

First thing that springs to mind is having bloody apps for everything, especially things that don't need an app - like booking a haircut, or ordering a coffee.

Oh and don't get me started on restaurants who use QR codes for their menus.

Trees are our guardians, our bastion against catastrophe

Without trees we are defenceless against increased carbon

It is incomprehensible that any mature tree is allowed to be killed

It is like eliminating your own army 🌳🌲
