Just finished #HouseofGuinness and absolutely loved it! It was such a fun, messy ride with great music and many memorable scenes. I'll probably watch it again because it's the first true comp I've found for the novel I'm writing and I'm completely taken in by it.

Seeing the Bill Watterson originals full of pencil lines of stuff that didn’t work, scuffs the eraser didn’t pick up, white out galore and more was something I needed to see to remind myself that nothing is perfect the first go and tweaks need to be made and you’re allowed to try again.

I just discovered Anna May Wong and have enjoyed watching some of her movies (which randomly led to Mary Pickford and then stumbling upon Leslie Howard in one of her movies but I knew him from GWTW). It's been a fun rabbit hole to go down!

Just watched it today with my kids and really enjoyed it. Kind of bummed we missed out on the in theater sing-a-long. Just read that practically the entire soundtrack is on the Billboard TOP 40 (and 4 songs are in the top 10).

Prices are so high I feel like I'm in a foreign country and should be factoring in an exchange rate. But nope, cereal is regularly over $7 a box and crackers over $5. Wanted to go to a little sea food shack for dinner. Would have been $18 for 8 fried shrimp and $31 for 4oz lobster roll. Can't do it.
