Even President Trump made time to see the FM of Scotland, but not the utterly odious Labour govt of Starmer, Reeves & McFadden - go figure that 🤔
Notice..While the President & Prime Minister of Ireland had time to meet FM John Swinney, the Labour UKGovt’s Starmer, Reeves had no time to meet him, & McFadden, a Scot, didn’t even bother to reply to requests to meet Social Justice Secretary ShirleyAnn Somerville.

Unionist disrespect in practice. The @BigIssue reporting this week that @S_A_Somerville Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, visiting London had requested a meeting with Work & Pensions Secretary for the LABOUR UKGovt Pat McFadden, but he didn’t even bother to reply. Who are these people?

This week Senator Kelly was threatened with *the death penalty* by President Trump, who objected to Senator Kelly saying the US military should not follow *illegal orders*
I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

Trump and his Administration are targeting me because I said something they didn’t like — but here’s the thing: I won’t be intimidated into silence. I’ve overcome challenges a lot tougher than Donald Trump or Pete Hegseth.

Thinking about @captmarkkelly.bsky.social America had a great idea: loyalty to a written-down constitution - not to a king or any politician.
In the UK we have the opposite: there is no constitution written down just laws made & changeable by politicians. Instead of a constitution, we have a king 🤔

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.

Predictably weak, wishy-washy response from Ed Davey.
@eddavey.libdems.org.uk doesn’t go far enough. Our country is following policies foisted upon us by racist crooks financed with roubles. Brexit’s destroying our economy, freedoms & environmental protections, it’s total political corruption & stupidity. We need a snap referendum to join asap. 🇪🇺

As co-convener of Vote Leave, Michael Gove occupied a position of legal responsibility. The unlawful spending & campaign coordination happened on his watch. The denials - proven to be false - ditto. Vote Leave, ultimately, accepted the finding & paid the fine.

There were no other consequences.

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise
