You can be politically aware and still disagree with those who force this fandom to be political. Grew up with multiple members of family in government, quite aware of what's going on. No matter what circumstances we have in life, we can all come together to escape, and that's how it will always be.

I wish someone would help me with the process of getting a car and practicing, parents never supported me and instructors were quite happy to take my money for months and never put me forward for the test. I have lost so many years and opportunities to what for some people is so straightforward.

One thing I keep noticing recently amongst furs that drives me mad:
Person: I have this problem, what should I do?
Me: Mentions what I did in the same situation.
Person: I'm not doing that.
Person (a few days later): [Complains about the same thing as before, expecting a different answer]

It's hard to feel much enthusiasm these days. The fandom used to provide that but I've lost that sense of fascination. I work hard only to do so little new each year, to see others fly through life and take it for granted. I used to thrive off others' energy but more often feel irrational envy.
