Decided early on that higher education wasn't for me. Worked in bank call centre briefly, transitioned to invoice finance commercial lending and found a knack for it. Applied to a competitor across the street, got it and then got poached by in-house legal. And now they're putting me through CILEX.

Having an extraordinarily anxious day today - fortunately St Thomas, while absolutely beautiful, seems to mostly be a glorified shopping mall thus it was an easy sell to wander around and return to the ship within an hour of getting off. There are, I am sure, prettier places elsewhere

So noise cancelling headphones make long haul flight so much better. I didn't even listen to music, just softening the aircraft noise was enough.
