Quite right of course. But also - call me simple-minded - if my partner started getting more money, I’d be happy, not sad, because then WE collectively would have more money, and money famously can be exchanged for goods and services.
Pretty sure it's not up to women to "think carefully" about taking a higher-paid job than their partner. It's up to their partner to get the fuck over himself and be pleased for her.

#Mentors who (often with the very best of intentions) try to form their #ITT #ECT beginning teacher mentees in their own image (to create a mini-me), can be a real barrier to their progress. The best teachers I've worked with are those who have an authentic teacher identity. 1/
