Kind of a big day for me, folks. I never thought my first published book would be a how-to guide for parental death, but here we are. It’s well-researched, it’s funny, and it’s officially available for pre-order: www.deadparentswhatnow.com/book
My Parents Are Dead: What Now? A Panic-Free Guide to the Practicalities of Death — My Parents Are Dead: What Now?
Pre-order the My Parents Are Dead: What Now? book! Available January 6, 2026 from Quirk Books.

No such thing as “too many books.” I’m gonna read them all.
Eventually.

Louisville babes, come hang out with me on December 4 and talk about the people you miss. 🍻
The holidays is, perhaps, the worst time for grievers. Let's have a beer about it. Catch you at Awry Brewing on December 4 for the first (annual, I hope) CRUEL YULE HAPPY HOUR! See you soon, Louisville. www.deadparentswhatnow.com/events/cruel...

Faith in contractors restored by NBD Remodeling. So clear and responsive, so competent, so *fast.* If you’re in Louisville, I recommend them!
I’m starting not to think very highly of general contractors. One said he could repair the damage beneath my shower, tore out the floor, then said he could not repair the damage. So far every other contractor I have spoken to is allegedly too busy. My angelic neighbors are lending me their shower.

I just need y’all to know that hiring an accountant isn’t as expensive as you think, and accountants will get you a way bigger return than TurboTax ever will.
TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

Oh yeah, sure. Sounds plausible.
The government claims two weeks of surveillance footage from Broadview ICE Detention Center has been "irretrievably destroyed" and won’t be produced as evidence in a lawsuit against the government over abhorrent conditions there:

Two Weeks of Surveillance Footage From ICE Detention Center ‘Irretrievably Destroyed’
"Defendants have indicated that some video between October 19, 2025 and October 31, 2025 has been irretrievably destroyed and therefore cannot be produced on an expedited basis or at all."

Moonraker is a live action cartoon. Once people understand this, they will understand its greatness.
Moonraker has the best character in all of Bond while having one of the more mediocre plots which actually makes it the Bondest Bond film
Moonraker isn't *great*, but Drax has some Goldfinger-ish zingers. "James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season."

This is so funny to me, as a Bond aficionado. Just bring him back with no explanation, it literally doesn’t matter.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
