housing advocates have always said affordable housing rents are too high. even the lowest rents at 30% ami means you have to make exactly 30% ami for it to be affordable—social security isn’t even close to that. we’ll see more of this as voucher budgets get cut!! love it.

In October, statewide news reported that a sheriff's deputy in Texas searched thousands of Flock cameras in Washington for 'Had an abortion, search for female.’ New documents obtained by RANGE show Spokane County Sheriff's Office cameras were accessed in that search:

actually it’s not! it’s quite material and there are many advocates, architects, front line staff, developers and community land trusts that are already holding parts of a social housing framework, it’s now a matter of scale and reducing barriers. being more strategic with the resources we have.
Social housing is just an idea in this city currently.

Sweeps are violence and it really is that simple.
