This is nuts. There is no evidence of organized sick outs. ATC can be held liable for mistakes made while showing up to work when not in a condition to work. Pressuring sick ATC to work creates risk of mistakes and brings exceptional liability on the federal government.

You will automatically be charged a penalty (no audit required) if you underpay more than a certain percentage. Maybe even interest - I can’t remember. It’s against tax law to underpay through the year.

Retired ATC here. If controllers are actually being scheduled 60 hours/wk and no other leave approved, they have to call in sick for rest. That’s really just not a sustainable thing for more than a week or two. Plus it’s flu and Covid season and controllers aren’t allowed to work on most cold meds.

My thoughts are that the targets are only confirmed as accurate for the individual executing the order. The decision as to the legal justification for the attack is made at a much higher level.

I’ve lived in Texas 18 years and I cannot even imagine the apoplectic response of Texans if California or Illinois governors were talking about sending their NG to conservative areas of Texas to keep conservatives in order.
