Today, November 26th, is Economic Abuse Day.

As technology continues to evolve, so too do the methods perpetrators use to exploit and control their victims.

What scientists can do is truly mind-boggling. I can't say that I don't feel some unease, but this looks like such a promising technology. I hope this is the end of Oliver's health issues.

I seem to be one of the few people who didn't enjoy The Hallmarked Man. Maybe because I'm not remotely invested or interested in the Robin-Cormoran will they, won't they circus. There's too much of it, it's tedious and Robin can do so much better. There, I've said it.

Vamos Jenni.
Crack total.

It's interesting to see those who talk of "epistemic collapse" uncritically repost comments that are blatantly misogynistic, from an account that openly boasts about targeting GC women. That is one mighty blind spot. And it's exhausting.

The BBC gained a fair amount of sympathy following Trump's threats but then, for some unfathomable reason, chose to invite Kelvin MacKenzie to talk about integrity and standards in journalism. Seriously.

Whatever your political persuasion, whatever your ethical boundaries, surely there is point beyond which the sheer misery inflicted upon ordinary people by exploitative bastards like Andrew Milne should make us question how society ought to protect itself from such people.
Shocking article in the Sheffield Tribune. A solicitor, Andrew Milne, buying up freeholds of houses and then making (false) threats to the leaseholders to bully them into buying the freehold at a huge premium.

These findings echo a broader pattern political scientists call affective polarization: the replacement of disagreement with abhorrence."
