“Why upgrade?” - with an iPhone that’s 4 generations behind I’m beginning to feel the battery death, I was also eager to switch away from iOS since there was a lot of stuff I missed on my old phone

Also, apple doesn’t make the kind of phone I wanted to get…

I picked up a set called durock shrimp and they’re decently muted while still feeling tactile, so there is a potential for best of both worlds, but it comes down to personal preference

There’s silent switches that actually do help with noise reduction and still feel good, as well as optical switches not having a lot internally to clack and be loud! If you’re curious about sounds of a specific key switch there’s probably a video demo of it somewhere, desk mat also helps with sound

I like the idea of RVTV existing like Candle Cove, but funny. Yknow like it’s a barely remembered tv channel that had a schedule you’d tune into as a kid to watch reboot or something, and you’d describe it and the host but couldn’t remember everything, and everyone tells you you were watching static

The apartment doesn’t need to be huge, just have a dedicated office space so I can sound isolate my setup for voice over and getting loud during broadcasts, take up 3d printing and fly fpv/racing drones, pay for an editor and shoot and write some dedicated non-stream content

The ideal dream for me is a 6 hour / 4 day work week as a barista supplemented with disability and revenue from twitch, YouTube, and ko-fi. Enough to fund a 1 bedroom 1 den close to my job and cover expenses and groceries, saving for the occasional vacation/convention.

I can’t explain to people in my life that a job that’s relatively easy but exhausting and requires a 2 hour commute is not something I want to do cause then they’ll say I’m “lazy” and “ungrateful” but like, idk dude I’ve expressed a lot of interest in specific jobs but they “don’t make enough”
