Another old Hades fanart piece. This one was my first time drawing both Hypnos and Ares! I would, of course, go on to draw each of them a lot XD #hadesgame

Hypnos is curled up in his cloak sleeping, with Ares' helm cradled to his chest. Ares is carrying him around with his big, beefy hands. His expression looks fond.

I never reposted a lot of my fanart from Hades I, so let's start back at the beginning! My designs for Apollo, Hestia, Hector, and Hera. I was still sussing out the finer points of the Hades art style at the time, which was fun. #hadesgame

we dunk on the concept of historical and fantasy characters somehow having a perfect understanding of bdsm safety protocols but i think we also need to free ourselves of putting modern terms for gender and sexuality in the mouths of characters who would've never seen a pineapple.

This is really hard to read. And the thing that is sitting with me the most about it is that it has always legal and possible to do this for decades. The only thing preventing this from having been the norm was a sense of humanity.

Been trying to read some isekai lately.

Four frames comic about two types of Isekai I found and read lately. The first frame shows a young man with a sword. He says: "My name is Josh Itcantbehelped and I used to be a loser before a car crash brought me to a world where I am a god and half the population is made of SLAVE CATGIRLS". The second frame shows him crying and clenching his fist, with many a cat behind him, wearing bikinis. He says "To make it here I guess I have no choice but to own as many catgirls as I can...how tragic...". The third frame shows another character from another type of Isekai. She's a woman with a fluffy dress. She says "My name is Elise Robespierre and after being hit by a truck of terminal cancer I am now in my favorite 900 pages novel. With many a hot man.". The fourth frame shows her giving a board presentation to citizens, with graphs and pictures of plants on it. She says: "Hello citizens. This is my plan to modernize the agricultural system and prevent any further plague by creating medicine [...] taxes which ..." the text becomes unreadable as she keeps talking to her captive audience.

I also have advice. Everybody loves reading advice on the computer, so I'll share it: the best thing you can do right now is log off as hard as you can. Go outside, talk to people in real life where it's actually kind of rude to talk about the news, try to actually see the friends you usually just text message. Go for a long drive and turn the phone off while you do it. Get back into your hobbies or pick one and learn it for a while. Watch one of those studio movies that reviews called "wildly miscalculated" and you haven't seen since high school. Play an album you like but find embarrassing. Go to free community events even if they sound stupid. If you take the freeway, try the surface streets. Go to a bad diner and just order some bad coffee because even bad coffee is good coffee.
You can't help anybody when you're exhausted and keep posting one million college-educated rewordings of "I would love to be dead right now" on the computer. Walk away from the thing and try out some of those normal things you hear about and if you get bored that's wonderful because we're not supposed to get bored anymore. It turns out boredom is the Cadillac of feelings.

watching cities bulldoze significant landmarks and, as if to mock us, preserve some tiny fragment like a corpse mounted on display. feels more like set dressing than preservation. a hollow gesture to say "look, we care about history" while erasing the very thing that gave the neighborhood character.
