Rough vibes on this website today, likely because people feel Hopeless and Helpless Because Can't Stop It and No One Who Is Supposed To Is Trying To So Now We're Fighting Each Other™. I recommend activities such as book, or potentially instrument if you like instrument, or even do talk on phone.

Magic Johnson was the grand marshal of the Rose Parade today, and as someone who remembers his November 1991 HIV announcement: if you had told anybody that day that he would be alive and healthy 34+ years later, I don't think they would have believed you. Medicine and research—they work.

Ok my New Year’s resolution is to make sure at least one person has a better 2026 than 2025.

PROTIP: if you don’t want to stay up till midnight, choose a different country to celebrate New Year’s. It was just New Year’s in Greece, in an hour and a half it will be New Year’s in London. Watch the fireworks on YouTube, do a toast from bed an go to sleep early!

This is great, "Why one small American town won’t stop stoning its residents to death," a story where Isaac Chotiner interviews the guy who administers the lottery from "The Lottery"

My personal ADHD cleaning algorithm is “Things may only be put down where they belong or where you found them.”

(I used to have a problem where I’d keep picking up higher-priority items and then I’d end up unable to find all the stuff that got dropped in random places.)

One of the nice little Christmas-as-an-adult things is when you can just slide the scissors up the whole wrapping paper roll without it catching. It’s a treat just for me.

Are you a “almost Christmas means it wasn’t Christmas” person or a “there’s only one more sleep till Christmas” person?

“None leave me alone” also valid.

The news is out, our indie game is coming to all platforms in 2026! Here's how it plays🧵

"The Witch's Bakery" is a Cozy Adventure RPG inspired by Kiki's Delivery Service and Persona 5.
You play as Lunne, a witch-baker who can dive into people's hearts and heal them with croissants!🥐

There should be a cooking show where you get a bunch of people from different countries, and randomly give them access to a normal kitchen and pantry of another country.

Then they have to figure out how to make their favorite dish using whatever's available and close enough

No, Food Network didn't

They put microplastics in all of nature that bore us. In our blood. Our brains. Our wombs. Out ballsacks.
"But how can we put microplastics in the soul?" they asked, and so ChatGPT was born.

I have again been asked if AI was used to make my game.

For transparency, my minions used generative AI to make all the parts of the game that didn't benefit from a human touch, were too boring to make or not important enough to craft by hand. In other words, we didn't use any generative AI.

The emperor was sitting in his bed when the assassin came in through the window.

"Welcome, old friend."

"Wait," the assassin wheezed.

The emperor waited for him to catch his breath.

"I'm too old for this," the assassin said at last.
