In the early 2000s, proto "tech bros" fawned over the tiniest drop of realism in their graphics. In the age of gen AI slop, suddenly that doesn't matter? I think this proves that some people have an eye for visuals and some don't.

Getting to the pew-pew part in now that the experimental exploration stuff is done.
That flash shader was actually very confusing to implement due to the wacky shading techniques I used to make it look pixelly and crunchy.

I worked at a particular studio in the Toronto VFX scene for a year and a bit. I later let amazing riggers and TDs who were there before my time, and they mentioned the tech they set up.

There was no evidence of that tech remaining. Hours of investment in rig propagation and pipeline evaporated--
We don't talk enough about the concept of technical debt and the majority of money men executives have little or zero understanding of the concept.

This is a sunk cost fallacy at work- they think the product is a singular item, a tower moving ever upwards.
I realized just how much technical debt I had accumulated for Oneirality. I chose to restart my project early this month

Recently, I redesigned my visibility system to use Godot's point light nodes, and added a Thief-like visibility meter
