I haven't drawn a lot of snakes, but it's breaking my symmetry brain in such a good way. Mammals have a rigid structure so you can guess where the opposite limb is even if you can't see it. There's a reason for how a snake's body lies, but it can be so much more fluid. Love this challenge!

Whenever you hand over a creative or cognitive task to a computer, it's a net negative. Menial tasks can be done by machines, that saves time, but you should never just let the machine do your thinking for you. Doing all the thinking yourself is so valuable. It changes me daily.

I have been trying to get by without a spell-checker or suggested words for six months (a year? I forget at this point). The most shocking development thus far is that learning my most common spelling mistakes has changed the way I pronounce vowels daily.

Yeesh, I need to get back to art so I can cultivate some magic rather than share my sad takes. Making pretty things Monday, I promise.

Can kind of understand how if you didn't approach it from a "how can I help?" standpoint and were exposed to stuff randomly without context that that could poison you pretty thoroughly. I had a lot of good role models early on who taught me that helping people is cool, so I'm pretty lucky.

My EMT friends just tell me they get used to seeing dead people so I just kinda was like, "okay, they do it, why can't I?" Not that I wanted to seek out stuff, but I didn't want to ignore it or unfollow people who post stuff because it's real and happening and it's bad.
