Today in "music press actually needs to die as well", discovered that Black Dog released another album, "Loud Ambient". And was looking information about it. And the couple of reviews I found are absolute rubbish, not talking about them at all.

If someone has two followers, a brand new account and is responding to you with a strong political view, the correct thing to do is block them.

played a bit of the good old Wizardry 6 today. Spent like 50 dice rolls to create my characters. Then had to re enter the same trader shop like 20 times to find the items I need. That accounted for around 2 hours

Given that the money raised from this is going to amount to loose change in the government accounts, the only reason it is being proposed is to satisfy the cruellest instincts of the worst voters and media outlets. Gutter politics
Ministers now appear to be confirming in broadcast interviews that they would audit and could confiscate assets (including jewellery) excepting wedding rings from the jewellery that they could confiscate.

El gobierno laborista propone confiscar (es decir, robar) las joyas de los que pidan asilo político. Bueno, menos los anillos de matrimonio porque no son tan malos. Los comentarios se escriben solos

This is wonderful, and something I always thought of Star Trek/Wars/Tolkien/etc and rest of the video games: simplistic models are fantastic for narrowing your storytelling or creating gameplay, but some folks think that the real life is like those simplistic models
The far right is obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Musk keeps posting about "hobbits" because modern scientific racism owes more to fantasy worlds and gaming systems than genetic science, and they see both as effective mediums for right-wing propaganda www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

Not sure I quite agree with Tim. Sure the ideological and party machine specifics are unique to New York and the US.

But understanding that a willingness to fight, to highlight easy to grasp policies and shape discourse rather than chase polls and focus groups has lessons applicable to any society
“What lessons on pan-European politics can we draw from an election to an executive mayoralty?”

“No more than we can that of Anne Hidalgo?”

“But if we *had* to?”

“That it helps to be running on local issues against a loathed sex-pest who’s being savaged by the local lunatic in a beret?”
