I would really like people to take this into account. Yes, arguably some of the worst people are not conventionally attractive in some way or another, but focusing on that and not their behavior, lack of empathy and compassion, only tears down everyone around you who shares that physical trait.
I'm just going to say a thing.

What a person looks like is not reflective of their soul. Insulting the appearance of bad people who do bad things as an outcome or indication of their rotten hearts perpetuates the notion that conventional beauty = virtue, a myth that's led to untold human damage.

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

⚠️ Despite all the hype, chatbots still make terrible doctors. Out today is the largest user study of language models for medical self-diagnosis. We found that chatbots provide inaccurate and inconsistent answers, and that people are better off using online searches or their own judgment.

Okay, I'm at loss now. What do I do with a 9300-word "short" story? Horror/historical, already gone through several crit rounds, genuinely think there's no shortening or even expanding it anymore. Would like a market for it but at this pace I might just post it publicly on my blog.

I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.
