Yes he did. Was really misplaced commentary. Don’t know why he did that.

Ed Luce watching democracy die in the United States of America
Thanks (again) @michaelsteele.bsky.social for advocating to Jeffries that Dems not wait on gerrymandering, but act now in all D states where viable.
Thank you @michaelsteele.bsky.social for challenging @whitehouse.senate.gov on his surprisingly misguided answer. The answer should have been “No”, not “It depends on the target.”

Every now and then I go back and read the Citizens United ruling to see if it is as unhinged as I thought, and every time I do that I see it is actually far more deranged than I remembered.

“Authoritarianism is wrong, murder is evil, corruption is awful, the law must be followed, America should not be brought to its knees for Trump’s benefit” - simple principles that somehow we struggle to rally around, because of our paralyzing fear that some silent majority will not approve of them

Clarence Thomas announced that he doesn't care about precedent and is making it up as he goes along. He didn't say it *like that* of course, because then people would have noticed.
But I noticed, through the jargon, and explain it here in @thenation.

I was sent this by a Georgian this morning. 2025 premiums vs 2026 premiums for someone making $65k a year.

Republicans in Washington did this.

This is what I'm fighting to stop. This is what’s at stake in this shutdown fight.

If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.

How the hell is this real?
Kaine: "We're just asking if we do a deal, please Mr President don't sign the deal and then immediately start taking away funds, rescinding agreements that you just made yesterday. A deal should be a deal."
💯. I’m still surprised that the “mentor” continues to be revered by many. Glad @saikatforcongress.bsky.social is running to replace her.

So far today, Chuck Schumer has said his strategy for preventing Trump sending troops into blue cities is to win over Republican senators (!) while Hakeem Jeffries praised Eric Adams's courage and authenticity (!!) while refusing to endorse Mamdani. Again.

These two gotta go.
🧵👍🏾
Every time I see a tweet from Jeffries or Schumer these days it really sends me to a dark place mentally.

If elected Democrats can’t meet this moment, I despair in a way that makes me worry electoral politics is essentially useless in a post Trump world.
The Trump administration’s threat to deploy troops in Portland is unlawful.

Here’s a thought.

Focus on protecting the healthcare of the American people.
Imv Klein is way off base & willfully obtuse here, as in his original column. Egregiously so. Much of it viewed through comparative privilege. It’s pretty shocking the extent to which he digs his heels in, while trying to intellectualize, sanitize & politicize in a morally vacuous manner.
