This would obviously be the outcome from the start. But university admins capitulated because they agree with Trump more than they disagree with him and he just gave them cover to do the thing they wanted to do but couldn't.
This must be weird news to see if you’re one of the literally hundreds or even thousands of university administrators who preemptively censored faculty, scrubbed websites, changed the names of centers, etc.

This is the problem with votes like @repgreglandsman.bsky.social vote to thank ICE agents and his promotion of bipartisanship with fascists. It paves the way for other Dems to vote for funding ICE when it could have been blocked by normalizing the idea that ICE is normal law enforcement.
