It’s important to maintain our trade negotiations as the global order collapses around us
Canada denies participation in the Danish military exercise in Greenland: "As of this moment, the Canadian Armed Forces are not initiating any new operations in Greenland," said Maya Ouferhat, press secretary in the office of Canada's minister of national defense.
Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada and France will participate alongside Denmark to expanded military exercises in Greenland.

Incredibly symbolic visit as world leaders travel to Beijing
I’m headed to Beijing.

China is our second-largest trading partner, and the world’s second largest economy. A pragmatic and constructive relationship between our nations will create greater stability, security, and prosperity on both sides of the Pacific.

On one hand you have the President, the Vice President, half of Congress, most of the media, and social media.

On the other hand you have one (1) girl in West Virginia who wants to play sports with her friends.
On my way to the Supreme Court where I'll be proud to support 15-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, West Virginia's only transgender athlete, as she opposes the state's effort to ban her from playing as herself.

Win or lose, Becky and her family are heroes for standing up for what's right

We were in Moncton over the weekend and I saw the old creek a couple times. Once over where it enters the Petitcodiac at Main Street, another time while driving along Wheeler. Moncton does its best to ignore its rivers, but the Double Double colour of Halls Creek forces you to notice it.

Moncton tries to turn its back on the Petitcodiac but the river is still there. It changes direction four times a day, a natural phenomenon incredibly bonkers but rendered quotidian by its inherent repeatable nature. Every once in a while a mud bank will collapse and reveal an ancient wharf or pier.
It’s because the Petitcodiac didn’t really affect my life in Moncton, whereas life in Miramichi revolves around the river. I saw it out my window, it shaped all my journeys, it marked the seasons for me.

Halls Creek.

It was directly behind my house until they built Wheeler Blvd. We caught tadpoles in one of the ponds alongside it. We’d go down to the marsh and see the ducks and pheasants. My mother put the fear of God into us that an undertow would instantly drown us if we went near the tidal mud.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Mine is the Patuxent.
