I don't follow the Grammys but I know some celebs said Ice was bad coz Ricky Gervais said they shouldn't say that.

Ricky - can you please me to shut up when I say I've got tickets on sale for some shows in Leicester on the 12th, 13th and !4th of this month?

In 2008 we had a financial crisis that proved the whole financial system was rotten but instead of binning it off and starting a afresh, we jailed a few people tokenistically, and patched it all up because it was "too big to fail". The Epstein stuff feels very similar.

This is a fun read. (Not an endorsement of the whole blog, which I'm vaguely aware is controversial, but this specific short story is a fun read)

I know we don't need proof that you can radicalise yourself given what's happened to Elon, but I've just accidentally gamified fesshole moderation, and therefore myself, by building a system where I get a lovely big tick for everything I moderated and it's strangely addictive.

Just ran some rough sentiment analysis on 100,000 fesses and this popped out which amused me in a glass half empty, glass half full kind of way

Is The Tetris Company going to celebrate what should be "Tetris Month"?

In February 2026, the four weeks are lined up perfectly as four lines - which is exactly what a Tetris is!

The last time this happened was in 2015, and the next two times will be in 2037 and 2043.

Twitter Moments briefly had a similar logo in the UK and I messaged the (Ameican) head of the project pointing it out and he shrugged at me. So I then sent it to a journalist mate who emailed him and they changed it within the hour. Given how the site went I probably shouldn't have bothered.
Top tip: to avoid having the British Union of Fascists logo on the side of your mock-up train, don't use horrible text-to-image AI slop instead of actual designers and artists.

Doing new admin screens for fesshole coz bored of looking at Google Sheets all the time and accidentally made it look like Guardian in dark mode. Weirdly classy for such grotty content.

Can I have £££ of Gov money please to run the Ministry Of Antishitification, where we bash out useful clones/alts of crucial web infrascruture projects and as soon as each one works, we turn it over to a public trust which a guaranteed income for further expansion and a non-profit board to steer it?
Oh it’s the same people that wrecked Vimeo who did the same to WeTransfer, because of course it is
Private equity companies should quite simply be shut down and their asset-stripped wealth should be given to everyone in the world as a salary, because what they've done to Vimeo is their M.O. gizmodo.com/vimeo-lays-o...

Bunged some loading messages on this coz noticed it was taking a bit of time (like 5 or 10 seconds, whatever) to load data / process it and it's possible people would be going "is this broke?"

Quite happy that the only answer here is Phil Collins, and it's not a film either, but hey, the logic is just >over 70 mins, so film really means "substantial"

Who loves it when your mayonnaise is nearly run out and you fill the bottle with a bit of water to clean it out and then drink the delicious mayonnaise water?

This is fascinating. A Reddit clone where AI agents chat to each other about their users? We are so unprepared for our increasingly weird present - let alone our future.

An opinion that I find slightly baffling coz I don't look at music, I listen to it. As long as the interface is functional, the less whizzy the visuals the better really.
