I think it’s pretty clear at this point that one of the main impacts of LLMs is to disrupt thinking: to make it so that far too many people never properly learn how to do it, and then to control the output so there are thoughts that people never learn how to think.

Brace for a spreading crisis, you old Europe.

We are living beyond both moral and climate limits.

How long can humanity survive like this? Isn't extreme inequality just a sign of gradual collapse?

Disagreement on policy is welcome and reasonable, but calling me a Nazi for cosponsoring an ordinance to ban price-fixing is completely unacceptable. Councilor Ryan edited his post, but did not disclose the edit and explain the nature of the substantive change, so it’s here for posterity.

Also: a change in projections is not a change in emissions. It's one indicator of progress: but it's misleading to present it as the best, most reliable or most meaningful, or to centre it too aggressively.

At worst: lukewarmists and centre-right techno-solutionists do this to downplay urgency
If you want to argue some progress has been made with reducing greenhouse gas emissions - OK. But stop framing it like this. The precision of 2.6°C completely misrepresents the *vast* uncertainties when it comes to climate & social responses & dynamics.
