In the tutorial for Kingdom Hearts, in the middle of telling you critical things like how to move, jump, attack, and interact, the game tells you that breaking crates can sometimes give you items. This happens literally 0 times after the tutorial. Not even one additional time.

It actually breaks my heart that we had to leave the morning after giving her the PlayStation so I will not receive any more of these beautiful insights.

As someone with some, but not a lot of music theory knowledge, I am captivated by how difficult a question “what key is this music in” is. You just kinda hope it starts or ends on a note that makes sense? Minimize accidentals?

The last of my Silksong LP went up this week, so now I can recommend checking it out in full. I really enjoyed the game, I ended up thinking a lot on design level pieces as I was going through this. An excellent title, an excellent experience.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

It’s not in the zeitgeist now so I want to make sure it gets the credit it deserves: The Roottrees Are Dead is an incredible notebook puzzler. Honestly top-tier up there with Return of the Obra Dinn. What a joy to play and watch other people experience.

I've been looking for solutions to my sinking office chair that didn't involve replacing the cylinder or putting a hard clamp on it, the top advice you'll see with most search terms, and it took way too long to find this guy saying "the lubricant probably settled, just turn the chair upside down"
