TRUE CULTURAL FACT: “Krampuslauf” is an Austrian regional equivalent of the French dip sandwich. Bratwurst served on an unfathomably stale roll with a bowl of Krampus broth (or “rarsoup”) for dipping. Tangy!

Hot take perhaps, but the environmental impact of AI is far worse and more worrying than the plagiarism or copyright issues... and the conversation largely being focused on the latter is honestly frustrating.

Several of Poe's tales created the format of mystery/detective stories, but he didn't just birth the genre wholly from his impressive imagination. Poe was influenced by existing writings, like those of the famous Vidocq, the father of modern criminology (and a criminal himself).

I got to meet up with the cool Santa again this year. He was super happy to see Krampus again.
